Fine Molds FP20 1/72 IJN Mitsubishi A7M1 Reppu Sam

15.00 $

The final masterpiece of Jiro Horikoshi and the Mitsubishi engineering team, the Reppu. It was designed to meet the M-50 requirements which was an internal Mitsubishi specification aiming to create the successor of Zero.

In July 1942 the Imperial Navy adopted the requirements into the 17-Shi specification. The airplane was expected to achieve the speed of 640 km/h at 6 000m, reach the altitude of 6 000m in 6 minutes be able of flying for 2,5 hour at 463 km/h and have the maneuverability of A6M3. The design envisioned by engineer Horikoshi was expecting the airplane to be equipped with the 18-cylinder version of the Kinsei engine which was supposed to produce 2 200BHP.

As the design of the engine was delayed the Navy insisted on installing the NK9 engine on the plane and submitting it for trial. Trial handled by combat pilots confirmed that the maneuverability of the airplane at level with A6M5 and greater then A6M3.

However, the airplane was lacking power and the climb to 6 000m was taking 9m 54s. At 6 450m the engine was producing 1 300bhp while 1 700bhp was expected by the engineering team to reach 17-Shi speed requirements. Due to that IJN deprioritized the work on Reppu, however the Mitsubishi team was sure that with the MK9 engine their airplane would meet all the requirements of 17-Shi and this is how A7M2 was born.

Special Hobby 72435 1/72 Dassault Mirage F 1AZ/CZ The South African Commie Killers

17.00 $

The Dassault Mirage F1 is a French fighter and attack aircraft designed and manufactured by Dassault Aviation. It was developed as a successor to the popular Mirage III family.

During the 1960s, Dassault commenced development of what would become the Mirage F1 as a private venture, alongside the larger Mirage F2. Work on the F1 eventually took precedence over the more costly F2, which was cancelled during the late 1960s. The French Air Force took interest in the fledgling fighter to meet its requirement for an all-weather interceptor aircraft. Accordingly, initial production units were equipped with the Thomson-CSF Cyrano IV monopulse radar.

Trumpeter 03226 1/32 Russian MIG-29 UB Fulcrum

83.00 $

In order to train the new pilots of the Fulcrum for Air Force,Mikoyan OKB developed a combat-capable trainer base on the original Fulcrum A.

Known as the Izdeliye 9.51,the new Two-Seat Mig-29UB conversion trainer took it's first flight on 29th April 1981.To avoid a major redesign and ensure maximum commonality, the fire control radar was deleted in order to contain the newly-designed cockpit and canopy. Both the trainee at the front seat and the instructor at the rear can control the aircraft completely. With the remaining IRST and HMS,the Mig-29UB can still firing the IR-homing AAMs and air-to-ground armaments. The internal cannon were retained.

The Mig-29UB retained dogfighting and strike capability, and the special emulators allows pilots to train in intercept techniques. Most users of the Single-Seat Mig-29s have imported the Mig-29UB to train their new pilots.
