ICM 48312 1/48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.I WWII British Dominions Air Force
The Bristol Beaufort torpedo-bomber, which was widely used in the RAF Coastal Command, was also a part of the air units of the British Dominion countries. Thus, in August 1941, the 489th squadron was formed from pilots of the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). They received several Bristol Beaufort Mk.I, which operated until the winter of 1942. In late 1941, 18 Beaufort Mk.I aircraft were received by the South African Air Force (SAAF) to protect the vital shipping lanes around the Cape of Good Hope. In the winter of 1942, two divisions were created in the SAAF – the 36th and 37th Coastal Flight, which included these aircraft. At first, they performed patrol functions and later were involved in combat operations against the French forces of the Vichy regime in the region of Madagascar. The Canadian Air Force (RCAF) also operated the Beaufort BeaufortMk.I – these were the 415th and 149th squadrons. Canadian Beauforts were used until 1943, engaging in patrol flights and solving anti-submarine defense tasks.

Tamiya 61113 1/48 Ilyushin IL-2 Shturmovik
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shuturmovik was the Russian military's representative ground-attack aircraft during WWII. It was so important to the Russian war effort that Joseph Stalin personally intervened to ensure a high rate of its production. Over 36,000 examples were built by the end of the war, making it the most produced military aircraft in aviation history. The aircraft was characterized by armor that was integrated into its airframe to provide protection for vital areas such as the cockpit, engine, and fuel tank. Production of the single-seat version of the Il-2 began in March 1941 but severe losses led to the development of a two-seat version with a rear gunner. A version which featured outer wing sections swept back at 15-degrees for a better center of gravity was introduced in late-1943. Together with the T-34 tank, the Il-2 contributed greatly to the eventual Russian victory.
Length: 243mm, Wingspan: 305mm. Robust form of the aircraft, including the armament and heavy armor, is accurately reproduced. Sharp nose section, swept outer wing, and wooden rear fuselage are also faithfully rendered. Intake duct as well as radiator and oil cooler parts enable accurate reproduction of the radiator mechanism. Highly detailed fuselage surface details. 2-seat cockpit and wheel well also feature rich finish. Parts included to assemble open and closed canopies. Includes 2 types of 23mm cannon fairings. Parts for 100kg and 250kg bombs as well as 3 types of launch rails for RS-132 rockets are also included. Comes with pilot and gunner figures as well as 3 marking options. Canopy masks also included.

Hasegawa 09067 1/48 Nakajima Ki84-I Type 4 Fighter Hayate Frank
Hasegawa's new Hayate ("Frank") is, simply put, perhaps the nicest tooling of a 1/48 aircraft that I've seen since Accurate Miniatures stunning Avenger. The cockpit, landing gear bays, and surface detail are amazing. They've really pulled out the stops on this kit.
Besides the Butterfly (Fowler) flaps, and the fine inner detail recreated there, they've added a cute, new feature to this kit -- rolling wheels! The kit employs poly-caps in the wheels so that they can turn after assembly. Of course, the prop uses a poly-cap, too, so it can spin and be removed after you've finished the kit. The talk from review modelers here in Japan who have already built the kit is that it assembles quite nicely, too, with the landing gear being particularly easy to build.
Markings are included for two different aircraft, both in the green scheme seen in the beautiful Shigeo Koike box art.

Sova-M 14006 1/144 An-26 Curl Versions RT.RR.Z
The AN-26 is a small twin-engine multi-purpose transport aircraft developed at the Kiev Mechanical Manufacturing Plant (KMZ: now ANTK Antonov in Ukraine) in the Soviet Union and the Republic of Ukraine. It first flew in 1969, and was codenamed "Curl" by NATO. This aircraft was designed as an advanced version of the AN-24T cargo aircraft, and in order to store large cargo directly from the tail, a large ramp was installed to keep the hatch airtight. This ramp made it possible to load cargo with the entire body of a truck, and also made it easier to drop supplies by air. The AN-25, of which 1,398 aircraft, including derivatives, were manufactured by 1986, is widely used not only as a military aircraft but also by civilian users, and is still in operation in Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, and more.
This model kit from Sova-M includes newly molded antenna parts. Three types of decals are included (Soviet Air Force AN-26RT radio relay aircraft, Ukrainian Air Force AN-26RR radio reconnaissance aircraft, Czechoslovak Air Force AN-26Z radio reconnaissance aircraft).
Specification
- Size: 16.5cm long, 20.3cm wingspan when completed
