Classic Carlectables 18657 1/18 Ford XW Falcon GT-HO Phase II Starlight Blue

108.00 $

In 1970 Ford produced a new XW range of vehicles. They had a GT and with their desire to win at Bathurst, again released a GT-HO model - the Phase II, of which approximately 400 were produced.

The Phase II XW GT-HO had a top of the line interior with a centre console, sports steering wheel and dash, radio, floor mats, door sill plates and door trims with woodgrain and chrome accents.

From the outside, the Phase II looked very similar to the previous XW, except this Phase II had 14x6” wide 5 slot rims with chrome hubcaps. Mechanically, the XW Phase II was a totally different car from its predecessor. The trusty Windsor engine was replaced by the new 351 cubic inch Cleveland. The new Cleveland had the potential to produce great horsepower, the GT-HO engine was rated at 300bhp, but the true figure would have been closer to 345bhp.

Heavy duty shock absorbers and six leaf rear springs were standard. Both the front and rear stabiliser bars had their diameter increased. Heavy duty front springs, unique to the Phase II were standard. Also unique were the front spindles with revised geometry and new upper control arms that allowed wider tyres to be fitted, because of extra clearance inside. All the new features on the Phase II made it a truly awesome machine. The highly modified GT-HO would not disappoint, with Allan Moffat winning Sandown and Bathurst at the wheel.

Authentic Collectables ACD18F19D 1/18 Tickford #6 Ford Mustang GT Supercar 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Cam Waters

104.00 $

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the 1:18 Scale Ford Performance Mustang GT driven by Dick Johnson in the Ford Performance 'Parade of Champions' at the 2019 Adelaide 500.

Everyone was excited to see how the new Ford Mustang GT Supercar would perform on debut at the 2019 Adelaide 500 but perhaps no-one more so than Dick Johnson because aside from being a team co-owner with two new Shell V-Power Mustang's competing that weekend and all the nervous anticipation related to that, he was also getting back into the driver's seat of a #17 Mustang Supercar for demonstration laps as part of the Ford Performance 'Parade of Champions' alongside Marcos Ambrose in a Mustang NASCAR and Scott McLaughlin in a road going Mustang.

In the lead up to the event, the 5 time Australian Touring Car Champion was enthusiastic and his usual humorous self about the prospect of jumping behind the wheel of a fully fledged Supercar once again;

“When I was approached with the concept, the first question I asked was ‘what’s the lap record?’. But seriously, it’s been a long time since I’ve been behind the wheel of a full-spec Supercar, and to get the chance to drive the new Mustang is something I’m very much looking forward to,” said Johnson.

“Scott and Fabian have been saying plenty of great things about the new car, so it’s going to be an honour and a privilege to once again hit the track in Adelaide, for the first time in nearly twenty years. Doing it alongside Marcos and Scott is just the icing on the cake.”

Come race weekend, the Ford icon was suitably impressed after cutting his first laps and couldn't resist on comparing the old cars to the new.

"These guys don't know how lucky they are, they've got it pretty easy to be quite honest. The way the car feels and handles, it's pretty hard to get a real gauge in a couple of laps. But boy oh boy, it has plenty of grunt, a lot more than what we had and certainly they stop extremely well. As far as kerbs and that, there's no such thing. When you run over a kerb it's like running over a pebble!"

Over his remarkable career, Johnson raced some of Ford's most iconic race cars in Australia and experienced a tremendous list of achievements. He's a legend of the sport, so there's obviously little comparison to a competing in a fully fledged race in the prime of your career versus demonstration laps well into your racing retirement but it's fair to say that Johnson's experience at the 2019 Adelaide 500 would be fondly remembered by not only him, but his legion of fans who witnessed it.

And very few could deny, it's always nice to see a Ford Supercar with the #17 and the name Johnson on it!

Authentic Collectables ACD18C21A 1/18 Chevrolet Racing Chevrolet Camaro Gen3 Supercar 2021 Bathurst 1000 Launch Livery Driver Shane van Gisbergen

114.00 $

The official launch of the Supercars Gen3 platform had been eagerly anticipated by motorsport fans across the country and at Mount Panorama, as part of the season ending 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000, fans finally got to see first hand what the future cars of Australia’s premier motorsport category would look like.

While various images and videos had been released of the new Gen3 Supercars in varying stages of development prior to their completion, this was the first time that the general public had seen the new breed of Supercar completed and on track.

Moving on from the Holden ZB Commodore platform, General Motors natural progression led to the two door Camaro to become its race car of choice for the future. With a preference from manufacturers to race 2 door sports cars, Supercars set about developing a new platform that was more suited to that style of body so the race cars would look more like their road going counterparts and would also be more efficient to build and repair.

Lowering the main roll cage hoop to achieve this was only one of a raft of changes made to the control chassis in the move from Gen2 to Gen3, which allows for more “OEM” style panels to be used on the cars. New engines are also a key feature of Gen3, with the Camaro upgrading to a race version of the 5.7 Litre Chevrolet LTR V8 after nearly 30 years of service from the existing power plant.

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the Chevrolet Racing Camaro Gen3 Supercar driven by Shane van Gisbergen as part of the official launch at Mount Panorama on December 3, 2021. This is an officially licensed model by GM Australia and New Zealand, complete with Chevrolet Racing debut livery.

This 1:18 scale model has been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts in a limited edition of 1056 with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

114.00 $

The 2022 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley marked the first official Indigenous Round in Repco Supercars Championship history.

Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.

Classic Carlectables 18645 1/18 Holden HZ GTS Aztec Silver Metallic

108.00 $

The HZ series was launched in October 1977 and represents the best of the Holden GTS range, the last of the US inspired “big body” Holdens. Subsequent Holdens would now follow European styling and engineering, evident by the behind scenes work gearing up for the most drastic model shift ever, the launch of the Commodore in 1978. The HZ brought remarkable advances in ride and handling with the introduction of Radial Tuned Suspension, delivering a Holden that tamed local road conditions better than any before with road straightening, precise handling and better stability under braking. While the Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS) had its biggest impact on the GTS, many more appointments helped to make it more of a stand-alone package, including four quartz halogen head lamps, mesh grille, colour-coded front and rear spoilers and bumpers and subtle body stripes and detailing on optioned-up versions. The HZ GTS initially was offered as a 4.2 V8, but was dropped in April 1978 when power steering became standard. So Holden’s classic 308ci (5.0 litre) became the power source. The interior featured further special treatment including revised instruments, tartan plaid cloth on the classy contoured bucket seats and a sports steering wheel. The five spoke, colour-coded, pressed steel rims also became a GTS option for the HZ.

Item includes certificate with individual production number.
