ICM 35016 1/35 Kozak-2 State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
‘Kozak-2’ State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
The ‘Kozak-2’ armored car, belonging to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, was developed by the Ukrainian enterprise ‘Scientific and Production Association ‘Praktika” in 2009. Initially, a prototype named the SRM-1 ‘Kozak’ was produced, but mass production was not initiated at that time due to several reasons. Subsequently, in 2014, specialists from Praktika began designing a new armored car based on the Kozak SRM-1, using the Iveco Eurocargo chassis. By spring 2015, the Kozak-2 variant was introduced. This armored vehicle falls into the MRAP class of combat vehicles, designed to protect the crew from mines and ambushes. Its functionalities include patrolling, vehicle escorting, communications, and providing fire support for personnel in battle. The crew is protected by armor from small arms fire with a caliber of 7.62 mm, ammunition fragments, and mines. The vehicle is equipped with anti-traumatic seats fitted with five-point seat belts for the crew and passengers. The armament options for the Kozak-2 include various types of machine guns. Armored vehicles utilized by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are equipped with DShKM heavy machine guns as weaponry. These machine guns are highly effective and can successfully engage even armored vehicles.

ICM 35018 1/35 Danger Mines Ukraine Summer 2022
‘Danger! Mines!’ Ukraine, summer 2022
The full-scale fighting that began in February 2022 had several stages. One of the most difficult was the summer of 2022, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine held back enemy strike groups in the South and North-East. The territories where direct clashes took place were actively mined, as a result of which the places of hostilities were saturated with hundreds of thousands of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. Besides them, aircraft bombs, mortar shells and ammunition that did not get stuck and did not explode remain in the ground. Demining, engineering intelligence and installation of mine-explosive barriers are engaged in combat engineer units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most Ukrainian sappers are universal specialists who are able to perform a wide range of tasks. Their work is needed everywhere, they work in different areas of hostilities and provide engineering support for many units. Sappers perform assigned tasks not only in the second echelon of defense, but also on the line of direct clashes, in front of combat positions. Also to find explosive objects sappers help dogs.

Academy 18157 DaVinci Flying Pendulum Clock
Not your ordinary educational models, the da Vinci kits are based on the early designs of Leonardo da Vinci. The Flying Pendulum Clock needs no glue, paint or battery to finish and operate. Easy to build, it delivers a learning experience during assembly, and serves as entertainment when watching the completed timepiece operate. Da Vinci was fascinated by how timepieces operate. Based on one of his sketches, it uses the laws of motion and a vertical flying pendulum escapement to keep accurate time.
The pendulum's weights, in a bucket suspended from a crane-style arm, act as the clock's power source. The weights propel the pendulum from vertical post to vertical post. As it flies it turns precision gears which in turn keep time. To speed up or slow the clock, adjust the weight-balance of the pendulum by adding or removing weights.
In addition to many iconic works of art and inventions, the restless mind of Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519) was frequently occupied with adding to his voluminous notebooks, filled with designs for machines and structures. This model kit reproduces one of those designs -- a flying pendulum clock! The pendulum's weight acts as the clock's power source. This kit assembles without the need for glue, and instructions in English are included.
This is an assembly kit of a space exploration vehicle or other non-fictional mechanism.
