The 2K11 “Krug” is a Soviet and now Russian long-range, medium-to-high altitude surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. "2K11" is its GRAU designation, while SA-4 Ganef is its NATO reporting name. The system was designed by NPO Novator and produced by Kalinin Machine Building Plant

Veteran Warrior

The M1A1 Abrams was adopted by U.S. forces in August 1984, and while it was originally equipped with a rifled 105mm gun, a later upgrade to a 120mm smoothbore piece significantly improved its offensive capabilities. Also given a precision fire control system and a 1,500hp gas turbine engine, when the M1A1 was fielded in the Gulf War in 1991, it proved more than a match for enemy T-72 tanks. It has remained in service with timely upgrades over the years, and in January 2023 it was announced that the U.S. would send around thirty M1A1s to Ukraine.

The ultimate development of German tank technology during WWII, the Tiger II or King Tiger was a 68 ton beast which introduced the latest development of the feared 88mm anti-tank gun, which was capable of knocking out any Allied tank at ranges approaching 3km.

First used during the Battle of Normandy in the days following the Allied D-Day landings, the cost and complexity of these massive tanks dictated that only 489 would eventually be produced, with the price of each King Tiger equating to an equivalent cost for nine American Sherman tanks.
