Trakehner mare

A Trakehener mare can only have a foal with a Trakehner, Arab or Thoroughbred stallion.

A Trakehener mare can only have a foal with a Trakehner, Arab or Thoroughbred stallion. This rule is intended to preserve the breed’s elegant build and spirited character. Trakehners originated in the East Prussian town of Trakehnen, near Kaliningrad in Russia.

Fun fact

Trakehners are believed to be Germany’s oldest horse breed.

The American Saddlebred mare by Schleich Horse Club wears her head and long tail very high, as is typical for the horse breed. The American Saddlebreds used to be riding and driving horses of the American settlers. Today they are mostly show horses. In addition to walking, trotting and galloping, some also master the gaits slow gait and the so-called rack. Both are pleasantly soft, four-bar movements.

The Llama from Schleich FARM WORLD has a thick, white coat. Its wool is wonderfully soft, warm, and perfect for people with allergies. Llamas are hump-less camels that originate in the South American Andes, and eat plants and grasses. They have a split upper lip and are known for spitting at rivals in order to establish ranking within their herd. Despite this, they are extremely gentle and friendly towards people.

Who’s barking so excitedly? Ah of course, it’s our Bull Terrier from Schleich FARM WORLD!

A lovable dog that not only has a cute sniffer nose but also a fondness for pink cushion covers. The British dog breed has a short, generally bristly coat and is in the mood for... everything! As long as there is plenty of play, action and fun. He loves running around the obstacle course that the new terrace chairs make. His egg-shaped head and muscular frame are characteristic features. Strong hind legs mean that he can push things very well and easily. One time he even managed to free a car that was stuck in the blanket swamp.

The thirteen meter long Tyrannosaurus Rex was a two legged predatory dinosaur.

With its powerful head and nearly 20 centimetre long teeth, this dinosaur was an extremely impressive contemporary!

Although the T-Rex looked quite threatening, it could hardly use its front legs armed with just two claws since they did not even reach his mouth. Nearly seven meters tall and thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a very skilled hunter, but rather a scavenger which probably fed on the leavings of other animals. It had more than fifty teeth measuring more than 15 centimeters in length which it used not for chewing but rather for tearing, since it swallowed its food in large chunks.

To improve depth-perception when searching for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were oriented toward the front such that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped.

Fun Fact

• If this powerful predatory dinosaur lost one of its dagger-like teeth, a new one would grow back within a matter of weeks!
