Wireless slot car racing thrills with 2.4-GHz Radio Technology

The new and innovative Carrera Wireless 2.0 system revolutionizes the racetrack experience with a range of exciting benefits for slot car racing enthusiasts. Wireless technology eliminates the problem of tangled cables, so Carrera drivers enjoy a more convenient and realistic driving experience. The Wireless 2.0 system’s 2.4-GHz radio technology guarantees interruption-free action at ranges of up to 15 meters, as well as a stable connection for unrestricted freedom of movement around the racetrack.

The Wireless 2.0 system replaces the previous version wireless contoller's sensitive lithium batteries with standard (or rechargeable) AAA 1.5-V batteries(sold separately). 

There’s also a particularly advantageous, cost effective upgrade option to the new Wireless 2.0 system for Carrera DIGITAL 124/132 racetracks with wired hand controllers. This means there are no obstacles to exciting race action with friends and family – and no more tangled cables!

Information on the compatibility of Carrera Wireless 2.0 with the previous 2.4-GHz Wireless+ system: Wireless 2.0 hand-held controllers can only be operated with a Wireless 2.0 receiver. The previous Wireless+ hand-held controllers only work with Wireless+ receivers. Nevertheless, parallel operation is possible if both a Wireless 2.0 receiver 20010122 and a Wireless+ receiver 20010112 are connected to the Carrera Digital Control Unit. However, the addresses of the vehicles must not be assigned twice.

The Scalextric C7005 Incar Conversion Chip A is a retro-fit Microprocessor Board, Chip unit for Single Seater and F1 Scalextric cars.

The in-car microprocessor module allows the conversion of a standard Scalextric car to work on Scalextric Digital layouts.

C7005 Chip A is designed to fit most F1 style cars. Some F1 cars chassis produced between 2004 and 20076 have mounting points for this specific chip.

C7006 Chip B is designed to fit most saloon style cars. Some saloon car chassis produced between 2004 to 2007 have mounting points for this specific chip.

However, either can be used if room inside the car body permits.

Most Scalextric cars, from 1957 to current date, can be converted to digital operation.

The WIRELESS+ set for multi-lane extension is used for extending the Evolution WIRELESS+ systems to 4 – 8 lanes. It can only be used in conjunction with the WIRELESS+ Evolution connection track.

WIRELESS+ wireless radio technology is now available for Carrera Evolution as well. With innovative radio technology, your cars can run independent of frequency, accurately and without difficulties on the Carrera Evolution tracks.

The 2.4 GHz WIRELESS+ connecting track section with integral charging station and receiver is the power station on the racetrack. With up to eight hours’ continuous play possible and with a fully-charged battery even up to 90 days in standby mode, 2.4 GHz WIRELESS+ is perfectly suited for using in races.

The 2.4 GHz Wireless+ radio equipment for Carrera Evolution has a range of up to 15 metres. Exciting racing duels can be staged on any Evolution racetrack with the ultra-light, wireless hand controls.

This wireless radio signal system uses 2.4-GHz technology and imports even more digital technology onto your Carrera circuit. A range of up to 15 m allows wireless operation of up to six vehicles simultaneously on one circuit.
Frequency hopping provides uninterrupted, frequencyindependent operation. The powerful Lithium-Polymer power pack provides power for eight hours of non-stop action – and a fully charged battery can remain charged 20 days on the standby setting.

The new 2.4 GHz WIRELESS+ can be used with a Black Box or a Control Unit. The receiver allows signal transmission to six different cars and the set is controlled via ultra-light hand-held wireless controls.
The charging stations powering the hand-held controls are incorporated into the track. The charging stations can be installed in the track layout by linking up to the Adapter Unit or Control Unit.
