In fact, this innovative Porsche won the brand world championship an amazing four years in a row, and the Porsche 935 became one of the most successful serial-production-style cars in the history of motor racing. The original was powered by a stunning 680hp and driven by the racing legend Klaus Ludwig, known affectionately by fans as King Ludwig. He is still considered one of Germany’s most successful touring car drivers to this day.

Franz Engstler is a German racing driver and team boss of Engstler Motorsport. During 1992 Engstler entered the German DTM race series driving for Valier in the famous Tic Tac liveried BMW M3 Sport Evolution.

The EVOLUTION BMW 320 Turbo Flachbau 'Team Schnitzer, No.55' DRM 1980 made racing history. In 1980 Hans Joachim Stuck quit driving Formula 1 cars to focus on the German Motor Racing Championship (DRM). He found the perfect partner in the BMW 320 Turbo flat-build version. Nine of these cars with 1.4-litre turbo engines and around 450 hp dominated races, defeating the classic induction engine cars. Back in 1980, the smaller car division race at the Norisring was a major event. That year, on lap 6 Hans Heyer's Lancia Beta Montecarlo broke its brake discs, turned over many times and ended up in pieces. Stuck drove this BMW to an overall 2nd place at the end of the season.
