Tamiya 35379 1/35 U.S Infantry Scout Set

12.00 $

An Elite Team

From the second half of 1944, the M1943 field jacket replaced the M1941, which had been used through most of the early U.S. involvement in WWII; simultaneously, double buckle boots were also introduced. A soldier would typically carry a canteen, ammunition pouch, scope, poncho and more, with the average infantry equipped with a firearm such as the M1 Garand, BAR M1918A2 or a M1A1 sub-machine gun. Officers wielded an M1 carbine. Scout teams would carry a handy talkie radio. This set recreats an infantry scout team of five, which will make a superb project by itself, and can of course be used in a diorama or vignette.

Features

  • This is a 1/35 scale figure assembly kit.

  • Parts recreate soldiers from the second half of 1944, wearing the M1943 field jacket: a commanding officer with M1 carbine surveys the scene, two standing soldiers have an M1 Garand and BAR respectively, a further soldier kneels with the stock of his M1 on the ground, and one soldier is pictured with the handy talkie.

  • Comes with a wide range of crisply molded small arms.

  • Decals are included for recreation of various rank insignia.

  • This set creates a late-WWII scout team in great detail. Two of the helmets are recreated with netting.

  • A soldier is stopped, M1 Garand in hand. The poncho for his back is optional.

  • Choose whether the BAR M1918A2 soldier also has a poncho. Depictions of folds and creases add extra life.

  • Depictions of small arms have a crisp finish. Other accessories such as bayonet, grenades and binoculars are included.

  • The included decals are a great way of recreating rank insignia on your figures.

Strelets-R 0040 1/72 British Light Dragoons Crimean War

7.00 $

In Britain, companies of dragoons were first raised during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and prior to 1645 served either as independent troops or were attached to cavalry units. When the New Model Army was first approved by Parliament in January 1645, it included ten regiments of cavalry, each with a company of dragoons attached. At the urging of Sir Thomas Fairfax, on 1 March they were formed into a separate unit of 1,000 men, commanded by Colonel John Okey, and played an important part at the Battle of Naseby in June.
