Authentic Collectables ACD43F20A 1/43 Shell V-Power Racing Ford Mustang GT Supercar 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Season No. 17 Scott McLaughlin

33.00 $

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the 1:43 Scale Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang GT driven by Scott McLaughlin during the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Season.

Despite being heavily disrupted in parts due to the global COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 Supercars Championship Season still managed to be run across 10 rounds and 27 races which was ultimately an incredible achievement for everyone involved in the series.

It was also the year which would prove to be Scott McLaughlin’s final season as a full time driver in Supercars after he opted to depart the category to race in the INDYCAR series in the United States of America in 2021.

This 2020 season car represents the Mustang McLaughlin drove during his final year as a full time driver in Supercars and will be modelled off the livery raced at the season opening Superloop Adelaide 500 which, ironically, would also prove to be the final time the hall of fame Adelaide street circuit event would feature on the Supercars calendar. McLaughlin finished 2nd in race 1 and 1st in race 2 at the event.

It was a phenomenal final year for McLaughlin which culminated in the young superstar securing his third consecutive Supercars Championship which is being modelled separately to this car.

Don’t miss this Mustang Supercar in 1:43 scale which has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed interior and will be presented in a clear display case.

Kyosho KSD08964W 1/18 Morris Mini Minor Old English White

125.00 $

Born in 1959, the Mini remained in production without a model change until Britain’s ‘Little Giant’ rolled off the line for the last time in 2000. The Rover Mini as it was referred to in Japan has since become known as the ‘Classic Mini’ since the modern relaunch of the ‘New Mini’ associated with BMW. However, the history of the Mini begins with the Morris Mini Minor and its twin brother ‘Austin Seven’ (name changed to Austin Mini in 1962). Due to organizational changes coinciding with minor modifications, the car name was unified to ‘Mini’ in October 1969. Up until then, the only difference between the two models was the brand badge and grille design. Mini’s greatest innovation over 60 years ago was to create the highly efficient blueprint for modern compact cars. With a length of about 3 meters, 4 adults could be accommodated inside the Mini’s small body, which was groundbreaking at the time. The Mini was also the world’s first production passenger car to feature front wheel drive with a horizontally mounted 848cc engine, another legacy of Mini design. While the Mini first went on sale with only the saloon (2 box) body type, the van/estate and the high-performance Cooper later extended the lineup together with sedan and jeep-type models as the Mini reached the peak of its lifecycle.

Classic Carlectables 18548 1/18 Holden VH Commodore 1984 ATCC (Brock)

124.00 $

The opening round of the 1984 Australian Touring Car Championship started with a huge grid of more than 30 cars at the Sandown Circuit. Peter Brock in the HDT VH Commodore started on pole position along side the Falcon of Dick Johnson, and straight away proved his mastery of the circuit dominating the race from flag to flag. Brock was also the victor at round 2 at Symmons Plains. Round 3 at Wanneroo, Brock had to settle for 2nd behind the RX7 of Moffat.

Brock was absent from round 4, with overseas racing commitments, but flew back for round 5 at Oran Park. He settled back quickly and set the fastest lap, but a retirement due to a broken tailshaft ruined a promising race. Again, Brock missed round 6, and Johnson was able to clinch the Championship, before the final race. Round 7 at Adelaide International Raceway was a fierce race, with 2nd place in the Championship still up for grabs. Brock was able to finish 2nd in the Race, and although he missed 2 races with other commitments he was able to secure 2nd in the Championship.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

Specification

  • Scale: 1:18
