For a number of years in recent memory, the Sandown 500 became the ‘retro round’ of the Supercars Championship, where teams would celebrate the rich history of Australian motorsport with new takes on old liveries and more. It became a highlight of each season, one that sadly no longer exists as a wider category mandated initiative.

In 2016, Erebus Motorsport unveiled their Penrite backed retro racer for the Sandown round that was raced by David Reynolds and Craig Baird. It featured a really striking white, blue and red design which replaced their modern black and gold Penrite season colours. The livery paid homage to the Penrite branding seen during the 1950s to 1980s and in addition to celebrating retro round, the livery also acknowledged Penrite’s 90th Anniversary with a number change to #90, replacing the regular #9 seen on Reynolds car during the season.

In the first year of racing the Holden VF Commodore for the team, Erebus and Penrite delivered a really incredible retro livery, one that still holds its own today. It will be a welcome addition for collectors of retro models.

The Kustom Garage brand was born from the team at ShowTime FMX developing custom activation vehicles and products for events, sponsors and their own team and personal use. Over the years the ShowTime FMX team has built and customised a number of unique and interesting vehicles that look and sound absolutely incredible.

The Widebody E30 is a ridiculously cool, custom coupe that many fans would likely have noticed and enjoyed at various Repco Supercars Championship events in recent years, some may have even been lucky enough to score a ride in it.

The heavily modified E30 features a 400hp LS1 under the bonnet, a custom exhaust system along with striking red 18x10 and 18x11 wheels tucked up in the Kamikaze designed and hand fabricated wide body. While this car looks like it’s made to hook into corners and grip like crazy, it’s actually designed to put on a show and create lots of smoke for spectators!

The subtle race inspired interior features custom touches like the milled gear knob, dimple died shifter, custom switch panel, Tilton pedal box and bright red cage which pops against the predominantly black interior.

Simply put, this car is really, really cool and our model replicates the incredible craftsmanship in fine detail.

It’s a real standout and this 1:18 scale model has been produced as a sealed body with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity. It’s a model that custom car enthusiasts won’t want to miss.
