Classic Carlectables 18796 1/18 1988 Sandown 2nd Place Holden VL Commodore

146.00 $

The debut of the Holden VL Commodore SS Group A came from Garry Willmington at Oran Park's Pepsi 250. But the car was severely underdone and the car retired after just 4 laps. Two weeks later HSV debuted their new VL Commodore at the Enzed Sandown 500. Two cars were entered from the HSV team, number IO, driven by Larry Perkins and Denny Hulme, with the number 11 car driven by Jeff Allam and Armin Hahne, both HSV cars were Perkins built. The HSV team had a promising start with both qualifying in the top 10. The number IO car was able lead in its debut race for 30 laps, before a slow pad change allowed Allan Moffat and Gregg Hansford in a Ford Sierra RS500 to build an unassailable lead. The Allam/Hahne paring failed to finish, retiring after 56 laps, while the Perkins/Hulme car finished the race in 2nd place.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

Classic Carlectables 18743 1/18 Holden A9X Torana 1979 Bathurst Car Janson / Perkins

121.00 $

For the 1979 Bathurst 1000 Peter Janson teamed up with Larry Perkins and they made an instant impact by qualifying for the Hardies Heroes Top 10 shootout. The number 19 Holden A9X Torana was only able to position itself in 7th place on the starting grid for the Great Race with a lap time of 2:26.212.
Holden A9X Toranas took the top eight places in Australia’s premier race for “production” saloons. Peter Brock and his co-driver Jim Richards went on to dominate the endurance race around the daunting, four-mile Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst.
At the finish, the Brock/Richards Holden A9X Torana was 6 laps clear of the Cadbury Schweppes number 19 entry driven by Janson and Perkins, with Ralph Radburn and John Smith bringing their Holden A9X Torana Sedan into third place, eight laps behind the winners.
Overall, it was another dominant Bathurst 1000 race for the all conquering Holden A9X Torana.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.

Shelby SH130 1/18 No.98 1965 Cobra Daytona Blue with White Diecast Car

58.00 $

The Shelby Cobra Coupe would come about after racing the Cobra roadster in numerous races worldwide. They found that in speeds of 160 mph or greater the aerodynamics made the car instable, thereby giving way to the competition. This did not sit well with Shelby being the competitive racer he was. The innovative design created for the Cobra Coupe enabled Shelby to win the first World Championship of Racing in 1965. This would insure the name Shelby to be engraved into the history of automotive racing and performance cars.

Kyosho 08633 1/12 Shelby Cobra 427 SC Viking Blue

312.00 $

The refined AC Cobra’s attractive open body in the 1960’s British sports car style was powered by a large-displacement American V8 engine. Unbound by electronic control, the AC Cobra produced breathtaking power for a dynamic driving experience not found in modern cars. More than 10 companies still reproduce replicas of this motoring masterpiece, but the original was manufactured from 1962 to 1967 (through 1969 in Europe and USA). The most formidable model was the AC Shelby Cobra 427 which featured a 7ℓ OHV with standard spec 425ps and competition spec 485ps engine, plus a reinforced body to handle the extra power. Double-wishbone undercarriage with front & rear over fenders extended the width by 175mm, adding to the Cobra’s already aggressive stance. Unable to receive homologation by the deadline, the Shelby works team was unable to enter racing competition however, its dynamic 12-second Quarter Mile runs were first class and the swinging tail ‘snake dash’ captivated speed junkies everywhere. The 427 S/C is a competition model that has been detuned and equipped with a front window shield for public roads making it a popular collector’s model all over the world, not just for its speed and power, but also its rarity.

Kyosho 8958BE 1/18 Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Pickup - Beige Diecast Car

133.00 $

Model 40 was the 3rd generation Land Cruiser and sold for 24 years from 1960 to become the number one long-selling model in Japan. Recognized for its cross-country 4WD reliability, the model 40 built the Land Cruiser reputation across the globe. The chassis is a 2nd generation carryover with four different wheelbases: short; middle; long, and super long, mainly for international markets. Body options including hood / hardtop / pickup truck / with cab provided enough variations to fulfil usage requirements in any environment and application. The Model 40 launched with a 3.8ℓ inline 6-cylinder engine but was joined by Japan’s first 3ℓ inline 4-cylinder diesel, which was a 3.6ℓ inline 6-cylinder diesel in international markets. As well as being fuel efficient, the 4-cylinder engine could be registered as small commercial vehicle leading to sharp increases in demand from commercial customers. Major upgrades were made in 1979 and 1980 that evolved the Land Cruiser into a comfortable yet powerful 4WD to match modern lifestyles as the demand from the commercial sector contracted. In 2022, GR Heritage Parts reproduces parts for Toyota models that attract significant demand, more than 60 years after the Model 40 was first introduced.

Classic Carlectables 18795 1/18 Holden LJ XU-1 Torana 1972 Bathurst Winner 50th Anniversary Gold Livery

100.00 $

Peter Brock's first Bathurst crown came in the 1972 Hardie-Ferodo 500. This was the last race to be held over the original distance of 500 miles and the last year drivers were able to race without a co-driver. Holden had its 3.3 litre LJ XU-I Torana that was powered by a giant killing 202 cubic inch (3310cc) inline-six, by now well developed and regarded as favourite to win the race. Peter Brock qualified in 4th position on the grid for the Great Race and on race day it was pouring with rain and the start was an incredible sight. Despite the dramas that ensued as a result of the inclement weather, Peter Brock cruised to an astounding victory in his Holden Dealer Team LJ XU-I Torana, by the huge margin of five laps. Brock's car ran without trouble all day over the 130 lap race distance and he thoroughly deserved his win after a gruelling 6hrs Imin 53secs behind the wheel, without a break and the assistance of a co-driver.

Classic Carlectables are proud to present a special Gold Livery Edition of the Holden LJ XU-I Torana 1972 Bathurst Winner to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of this historic victory.

Item includes certificate and production number plate, mounted to the chassis.
