These days people probably think of the 400R in terms of the highest rated V37 Skyline, however the NISMO 400R was first created in 1996 by Nissan Motorsport (NISMO) as the ultimate car based on the BCNR33.
Both the NISMO 400R and the V37 400R are named according to their 400bhp power output. Even considering the 23-year age gap in these models, it wasn’t uncommon for street-tuned NISMO 400R’s to output above 500bhp. As the 400R wore the Nissan badge and was designed by NISMO as the ‘complete car’, it was required to meet the exhaust standards of production cars. To this end, displacement was increased from 2.6L to 2.8L in combination with N1 metal turbines to generate power of 400ps and 47.8kg-m. In addition, the focus was on good response and not just brute power as with street-tuned cars. The suspension is equipped with Bilstein dampers and lowered coil springs (7kg front / 8kg rear) with the aim of firm yet smooth control instead of too much rigidity. The exterior also features special 18-inch LM GT1 wheels, over fenders (front and rear), special bumpers (front and rear), and carbon engine hood with large intakes and a two-stepped rear wing.

The BMW M2 CS, a more track focused version of the BMW M2 Competition, and was unveiled online in November 2019 prior to its introduction at the LA Auto Show. Production began in March 2020, with 2,200 units planned for North America, Europe, Asia and Mexico. Only an estimated 564 made it to the United States according to collecting VIN numbers on Bimmerpost.

The M2 CS uses the same engine as the M2 Competition but it uses the factory ECU management as the F82 M4 Competition package, resulting in a more powerful version of the S55 which is rated at 331 kW (444 hp) and 550 N⋅m (406 lb⋅ft) of torque (same torque as the other M models equipped with the S55 engine) .[25] The 0–100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time is 4.2 seconds for six-speed manual transmission models, and 4.0 seconds for models with the 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

As a team with one of the richest histories in Australian motorsport, Shell V-Power Racing Team / DJR Team Penske will be celebrating a milestone moment from the past with their liveries at the 2018 Sandown 500 Retro Round.

Their #12 and #17 2018 Ford FGX Falcons will race featuring a special one-off retro themed livery based on Dick Johnson’s Shell Ultra-Hi Racing Ford Sierra RS500 which he drove to win the 1988 Australian Touring Car Championship - with 2018 marking the 30th Anniversary of the achievement.

The 1988 season was a particularly dominant one for Dick Johnson Racing, with Johnson and his then teammate John Bowe taking victory in eight of the nine rounds. It was Johnson’s fourth Australian Touring Car title, with Bowe finishing second in the points for a Shell 1-2.

Johnson, now co-owner of the front-running Virgin Australia Supercars outfit Shell V-Power Racing Team, has fond memories of that era.

“Those Sierras were the best Touring Cars on the planet, and we were completely and totally on top of our game,” said Johnson.

“Seeing that classic livery on these cars is very special and brings back many great memories. It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years, but amazing to relive those fantastic times and see that livery back on track.”

After four seasons with Tickford Racing, 2010 V8 Supercars championship winner James Courtney joins the Blanchard Racing Team operation as they expand to a two car team in 2024.

Bringing backing from Snowy River to race the eye catching #7 Mustang, Courtney remains one of the ‘old guard’ of stars in the Supercars Championship with over 500 race starts, multiple race wins and a swag of podiums to his name.

Courtney’s 2024 Mustang features numerous evolutions from previous years. More black around the rear and roof combines nicely with the mint / teal colour scheme of the Snowy River branding. This is further enhanced with black wheels, the number on the roof and the strong but simple colour palette dominated by the one primary partner. It all makes for a really great looking race car and is set to be replicated based on the season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500 round.

This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.

A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pints, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.

It is scheduled to be produced in an exclusive, one-off limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity presented in its own, Authentic Collectables branded protective cardboard folder.
