Authentic Collectibles ACR18H22N 1/18 Mobil 1 Optus Racing No.25 Holden ZB Commodore 2022 Merlin Darwin Triple Crown Indigenous Round Driver Chaz Mostert

96.00 $

The 2022 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley marked the first official Indigenous Round in Repco Supercars Championship history.

Every car raced at the event featured an Indigenous-themed livery or artwork, produced by various indigenous artists with different stories behind their works.

Various teams and drivers have embraced indigenous artwork on their cars or helmets in the past years for the Darwin round but this was the first time the category as a whole came together in an effort to recognise First Nations people.

The end result was simply stunning. The variety of colours and artworks beautifully weaved into the racing schemes of each team was a true sight to behold and made for an exceptional weekend of Supercars racing.

Authentic Collectables are proud to be replicating a range of cars raced at the 2022 Darwin Indigenous round including the awesome Chaz Mostert Mobil 1 Optus Racing Holden ZB Commodore.

Don’t miss this 1:18 scale model which has been produced as a sealed body with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition of 354 with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Authentic Collectables ACR12F21H 1/12 Shell V-Power Racing Team No.11 Ford Mustang GT 2021 Merlin Darwin Triple Crown Indigenous Livery Driver Anton De Pasquale

250.00 $

There's no doubt that the now very familiar, perhaps iconic, Shell V-Power livery raced by the team over the past five years looks fantastic but it was very refreshing to see a big change when the team unveiled a spectacular one-off indigenous livery on both their Ford Mustangs for the 2021 Darwin Triple Crown.

Dedicated to Racing Together, a programme designed to give 12-to-18-year-old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders an opportunity to pursue a career in motorsport as a driver or a member of a race team, the impressive livery was designed by Braedyn Cidoni who is a Racing Together team member. Also an aspiring driver for Racing Together, Cidoni's design was inspired by the artwork of Allison Millcock and the result looked exceptional on the sides of the #11 and #17 Shell V-Power Mustangs.

Come race weekend, De Pasquale's trip to the Top End had plenty of action. A magnificent qualifying performance put car 11 on Pole for Race 12 on the Saturday only to be rear-ended on the opening lap to see his race over as soon as started. The young gun again qualified well for both Sunday races to start from P3 but some pitstop and racing errors ultimately cost the team stronger results for both outings.

Nevertheless, car 11 was fast in Darwin and the indigenous livery was received with tremendous respect and fanfare.

This 1:12 scale model has been produced by Authentic Collectables in high quality sealed body resin with clear windows and detailed interior in a limited edition of only 102 with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Authentic Collectables ACR12H84BW 1/12 Holden Dealer Team No.05 Holden VK Commodore Group C 1984 James Hardie 1000 Winner Peter Brock / Larry Perkins

374.00 $

In 2024, Holden, Bathurst 1000 and Australian motorsport fans will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of one of the most famous results at Mount Panorama featuring the ‘Last of the Big Bangers’, the #05 and #25 Holden VK Commodore Group C’s raced by Peter Brock / Larry Perkins and John Harvey / David Parsons to finish 1-2 in the 1984 James Hardie 1000.

Peter Brock’s ‘Big Banger’ is truly one of the most iconic race cars in Australian motorsport history.

Sporting fat group C flares, extra chunky dunlop tyres, and of course the monster birdbath spoiler on the rear, the Big Banger was always going to be a formidable racing weapon.

Combined with the striking livery it looked like a superstar, even though it’s racing life was relatively short.

Introduced at the 1984 Sandown Castrol 500, it raced only three times - winning every time - before being superseded by the incoming Group A rules. The Group C VK’s were unbeatable, but not from sheer luck, each car was tailored for racing from the very beginning.

Larry Perkins personally oversaw the assembly of the shells to ensure that the usual body deadening and seam sealing was omitted to allow the lightest shell that could be produced. Then the cars were fitted with hand built 308 cubic inch V8’s, pumping out a shade over 400hp. Coupled to the bullet proof Borg Warner Super T10 four speed gearbox, it had mumbo to match the mean looks.

As the old saying goes ‘proper planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance’, and HDT had done their homework. By the time they’d arrived at the mountain they’d clocked over 1000km in 05 and tweaked suspension, brakes and tried three types of tyre.

This was proven to perfection with a 1-2 finish at the James Hardie Bathurst 1000. It cemented Peter Brock as the true King of the Mountain, and both he and the VK have become immortalized in the lore surrounding Bathurst, and also in Bronze as the full-size sculpture of Brock and Big Banger has pride of place outside the National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst itself. No other Australian race car has been so revered, replicated and referenced as the Big Banger.

Now, 40 years after Brock and Perkins crossed the finish line first, Authentic Collectables are excited to announce our 1:12 scale replica of this car.

Scheduled to be produced in sealed body resin format, this impressive large scale model will feature clear moulded widows, detailed racing cockpit, incredible exterior finishing, racing wheels and more.

As with all our releases in 1:12, this model will be produced in an exclusive limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Due to Australian tobacco advertising laws, the model will be produced without the complete livery applied.

This is one of a pair of the most iconic cars in Australian Bathurst 1000 history, and in this impressive, large scale, it shouldn't be missed. It will be a centrepiece in any model collection, bar or man-cave display.
