24 hours of Slovakian-Polish power

In 2016, the Slovakian driver Miroslav ‘Miro’ Konôpka competed at the 24-hour race in Spa in the no.69 Lamborghini Hurácan GT3 for the ARC Bratislava racing team, alongside the Poles Andrzej Lewandowski and Teodor Myszkowski, and his compatriot Zdeno Mikulasko – ultimately finishing in 39th place.

In 1986, after Group B rallying was removed from the FIA regulations, Peugeot used much of their experience developing the 205 T16 for the Paris-Dakar Rally and Pikes Peak Hillclimb. Their first attempt at Pikes Peak, also known as The Race to the Clouds, was in 1987 with the diminutive 205: the car that transformed Peugeot’s commercial fortunes after it was launched in 1983 and then went on to become a legend on the world rally stage thanks to the outlandish Group B T16 version.
