The Ford Torino Talladega is a legend of stock car racing. This Ford became a 1970s hero, but was only produced in the first weeks of 1969. Today, it’s a special collectors’ item as a car that won far more battles than any other competitor. This car bears the number 72 and was driven by Benny Parsons, who won several world championships during his active time in motorsport, before taking up a long career as a commentator.

The Ford Capri is a major hit on every circuit

For many years the Ford Capri was a popular sight on public roads, and on the racetracks of the world. The Capri achieved major successes in German motor racing championships. At the end of the 1981 season, Team Würth-Zakspeed celebrated overall victory with their Ford Capri. Klaus Ludwig won 10 of the 14 races and became the undisputed champion. In 1982, the Capri was entered for 4 races, before being replaced by its successor, the Ford C100.

The 1982 Ferrari 512 BB LM ‘C. Pozzi, No.71’ shines in every Carrera circuit. At the time, the 1980s sports car was one of the fastest road racers around, and took part in the 24-hour race in France to demonstrate its amazing power. The long, blue sports car with a large tail wing was produced until 1984, and was then succeeded by the Ferrari Testarossa.

The 1973 Bathurst 1000 was the 14th running of the Bathurst 1000 touring car race. This was the first race to be held under the new metricised distance of 1000 kilometres, rather than the 500 miles previously contested.

Allan Moffat and Ian Geoghegan won the event driving a Ford Falcon GT.

The 1973 race was also notable as it was the first Bathurst race entered by 3x winner Dick Johnson. In the race, he and team mate Bob Forbes qualified 11th and ended up 5th at the chequered flag.
