The distinctive Mandarin Red Holden A9X Torana first appeared in the hands of the late Bob Jane in the 1977 Australian Touring Car Championship. It then made its first Bathurst 1000 appearance with Bob Jane and Ian Geoghegan behind the wheel in the 1977 edition of the Great Race. The pair qualified fifth with a lap time of 2:25.9 in their only Bathurst start together.

The car also received the honour of the Dulux Refinisher Best Appearing Car Award. As a result, on the morning of the race it was the first car to be rolled out onto the starting grid in front of the huge crowd trackside and a nation wide television audience. Unfortunately their race didnt last long when the car damaged a wheel only 35 laps into the race and it could no longer continue.

This unique beast only lasted two racing seasons after it was involved in a mammoth shunt at Amaroo Park during an AMSCAR Series event with Garry Rogers at the wheel in 1979.

For 2021 BTC racing hired promising young lady racer Jade Edwards to pilot their third and final Honda Civic Type R. 2021 saw series regular Adam Morgan and his Ciceley Motorsport squad move away from their previous Mercedes steeds and instead purchase two brand new WSR built BMW 330i NGTC cars. The 1975 Lemans 24hr race saw a victory for a team that were certainly not the prevent favourites. The Gulf oil liveried Mirage GR8 of Ickx and Bell won by a lap from the Ligier behind them, the third and final win for a Gulf liveried car overall at LeMans and the first of an incredible five wins at Lemans for Derek Bell.
