Scalextric C4239 James Bond Aston Martin V8 - The Living Daylights Slot Car
The living daylights was the 15th Bond film and the first to star Timothy Dalton. In this Bond adventure 007 pilots the icon of 80s brawn, the Aston Martin V8. Equipped here with skis and a rocket motor to escape down a ski slope, as well as missiles in the front grille, this is one Aston you really don't want to mess with!
James Bond’s relationship with Aston Martin cars continues as he takes to the wheel driving an Aston Martin V8 in the fifteenth James Bond Movie ‘The Living Daylights’. This 1987 movie release saw Timothy Dalton play Special Agent 007 and like all Bond movies there is a belter of a car chase when Bond finds himself being pursued by his enemy. In the movie the car featured a host of weapons and this Scalextric slot car includes the Q-Branch designed ‘outrigger’ which are skis to enable Bond to getaway in the wintery conditions making it an impressive model for any Bond fan or collector.
When launched the Aston Martin V8 was at the time hailed as Britain’s first super car achieving 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds, quicker than the Ferrari Daytona. This made it the ideal car to appear in the latest Bond movie in the late 1980’s. A like all good Bond cars Q-Branch added a series of extra’s suitable for a 00 agent. These included: Missiles, Heads-Up Display, Lasers, Tire Spikes, a Rocket Motor and Self Destruct to stop it getting into the wrong hands.

Carrera 27573 Evo Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM P. Di Resta No.3*
As well as being famous for his circuit handling skills, Paul Di Resta is also popular because he is spontaneous and easy-going. He showed these qualities when he was asked to stand in for a sick teammate at short notice. He was told he would be driving just hours before the race was due to begin - but reacted calmly and saw the funny side of things. These attributes are now helping him in the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM. Things don't always go to plan on the racetrack either. That's when he needs to react quickly out on the track without losing his nerves. The newly developed Mercedes racing car helps di Resta to master such situations and to win races.

Scalextric C4078 Ford GT GTE LeMans 2019 No.85 Slot Car
2019 Saw the first ever privately entered Ford GT GTE at LeMans. The strikingly liveried number 85 example was entered by Ben Keating, and featured Jeroen Bleekemolen and Felipe Fraga alongside Ben in the car on driving duties. The purple chrome livery of sponsor Wynn's certainly helped the car stand out on track at LeMans and the Ford GT GTE is certainly a star of the Scalextric range, however sadly 2019 was a bittersweet race for the car. With a class win a highlight on Sunday the car was however disqualified for a fuel irregularity later on. However, by looks, the car is certainly a winner.
Digital Plug Ready (DPR) means you can convert the car for use with the Scalextric Digital range in under sixty seconds using the C8515 Digital Plug.
