In the long and distinguished history of 1/10 EP (electric) R/C racing buggies, there are two types based on different drive systems. Rear 2WD models are typically easier to assemble and maintain and exhibit nimble driving characteristics; and then there are the equally popular 4WD models, which use drive force to all four wheels for superior traction on low-grip roads compared to 2WD. For drivers considering a step up from entry-level models, we are proud to introduce the Lazer SB Dirt Cross 4WD, which is a cost-optimized version of the competition-level ZX-5 that has continued to evolve performance and control as the cutting-edge of Kyosho’s worldwide 4WD EP buggy racing campaigns. While the suspension and driven system are retained from the proven Lazer ZX-5, the Dirt Cross does much more than reduce costs; it is designed to appeal to a new generation of R/C racers. While retaining its basic shape, the main chassis has been updated and optimized for the latest battery and motor systems. However, the body has been completely redesigned with a rear positioned cabin (instead of the usual forward-cabin of racing models), driver figure, and newly developed spoke wheels for a classic retro buggy style. As the Dirt Cross is based on a purebred race model, performance is guaranteed. Combining the most comprehensive fit out at a great value price, all the fun and performance off-road R/C has to deliver is perfectly optimized into this mid-range 4WD buggy.

The simple chassis of the Dirt Cross delivers its high performance on all fields of action, from flat dirt to off-road racing circuits. The shaft drive 4WD at its core is based on the Lazer ZX-5, which competes at the highest levels around the world including the world championships.

The newly designed body positions the cabin near the rear in traditional racing buggy style to create fresh impressions with new drivers and a sense of nostalgia for those with more years behind the controls.

The driver figure used to be standard in Kyosho R/C buggies in earlier times and has been revived in this model to increase the sense of realism. The driver figure can also be attached to the 2WD Dirt Master.

Polycarbonate gear cover protects the spur and pinion gear when driving on surfaces with gravel and stones. The gear cover can be easily attached and detached with screws.

Compatible with most mainstream R/C car batteries available. The battery is secured with a hook-and-loop fastener belt, so various battery sizes and shapes can be secured in place.

Resin oil shocks equipped on front and rear suspensions soak up the bumps from the road surface. Dial adjustment of spring tension makes it easy to change chassis height setting.

H-pattern pin tires are equipped on front and rear to provide reliable grip on any surface. Newly designed spoke wheels recreate that retro style to match the body form.

Slipper clutch protects the gears and drive system from excessive loads. Tension settings of the slipper clutch can be adjusted to change driving characteristics.

Front and rear suspension upper arms and steering rod use turnbuckles so simply turn to adjust rod length and change camber angle and toe angle settings.

Three steering modes – for no rear tire input, mirrored rear tire input, or “crab crawl” – can be activated from the included 3-channel Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz transmitter. These modes provide the flexibility you need to maneuver over or around almost anything in your way. All drivers gain new terrain conquering ability!

The scaled-down Capra tube chassis adds realistic trail buggy looks, with helmeted driver and passenger figures, LED headlights, rock lights, and light bar. PROVEN CHASSIS DESIGN & LAYOUT

The wide truggy chassis allows all of the components of the Vorza drivetrain to sit flat on the chassis, giving the truggy a very low profile and super low center of gravity for fantastic handling through turns and corners. The extra-thick 6061 aluminum chassis on the Vorza Nitro features side dirt guards to keep rocks and debris away from the gears and driveshafts, and the front kick-up provides improved handling and steering over rough terrain and tracks. The Vorza Truggy is a dream to work on with everything easily accessible.

The awesome Nitro Star F4.6 V2 engine from the legendary Savage X 4.6 monster truck is the perfect match for the Vorza Nitro, with its signature gunmetal grey cast heatsink head. The F4.6 V2 has true ABC construction, with a chrome-plated brass piston and cylinder surrounded by the lightweight aluminum case and provides all the grunt needed to get the Vorza Nitro up to wild speeds - it's super-powerful and mightily strong, and reliable!

A new Vorza deserves a new set of boots and rims! Brand new 4.0" 8-Spoke High-Impact nylon Truggy wheels for 17mm wheel adaptors, wrapped in yet another addition to the TREDZ "by HPI Racing" Tire rack. The Tredz Voodoo 4.0" Tires are designed onto a performance canvas, using HPI's familar S Compound. The rotational Voodoo tread pattern works great on a variety of surfaces, from hard-pack dirt to grass and astroturf.

ROCK-SOLID RELIABLE DRIVETRAIN

The Vorza uses race spec machined spiral-cut 'worm gear' crown and pinion diff gears to get the power from the driveshafts to the wheels. A spiral cut is more reliable and much stronger than standard straight-cut gears, giving you extra confidence and fewer maintenance headaches.
You can adjust the diff action with thicker or thinner oils because all three diffs are sealed against leakage, giving you a fantastic boost of tuning ability!

PACKED WITH TOP SPEC FEATURES!

At both ends of the car, the Vorza has everything you'd expect from an all-out competition kit, including inverse steering block design, optional hinge pin holes for the rear uprights and a ton of geometry changes to make!
Front and rear adjustable vented steel disc brakes with extra-powerful fibre brake pads give you short stopping distances with maximum control.
The 125cc Racing Fuel tank features a strong spring-loaded cap, internal baffle system to reduce foaming and weight transfer, plus unique 'clunk' system with integrated stone filter for continued engine running even while the car is upside-down.

MORE THAN JUST A BASHER!

The front suspension has a long list of features, including inverse steering blocks, adjustable roll centre, thick turnbuckle links, aligned king pin and universal joint driveshafts, sway bar and counter-rotating shock mount screws.
All round 106mm equal-length 16mm Big Bore shocks smooth out the ride and provide plenty of adjustment, while the solid suspension arms, knuckles and uprights take the pounding of jumps, dips and landings. Sturdy improved HD High-Impact suspension mounts securely hold the solid suspension arms to the chassis.
Aiding clean-up of the chassis at the end of the day is the easily removable radio tray, just a few screws takes all the electronics out of the chassis. We know users like to get dirty, but a clean car is a happy car!

PERFORMANCE BIG BORE SHOCKS

Four 16mm Big Bore shocks are the perfect fit for the Vorza's capable suspension. Each one features an extra-thick 4mm shaft, a threaded body and spring collar for precise ride height adjustment, steel mounting hardware and self-tightening lower mount screws. Providing the power for the Vorza FLUX is an ultra-powerful FLUX brushless system, consisting of the HPI FLUX MLH-2200 motor and ELH-6S speed controller. On their own, they're already impressive, but together they form an unstoppable power force!

The FLUX MLH-2200 will give you more than enough power for anything you're looking for: giant air stunts, multiple back flips, colossal top speeds, and wheel-spinning sideways action! It also features our sleekest heatsink design, with 11 radial fins that circle the black-anodized motor case for superb cooling action. With a 5mm motor shaft it can fit any optional pinion gears for the Vorza so you can get even MORE top speed for those insane runs or gear it down for increased acceleration and jumping power on the track. 6.5mm bullet connectors on 12-gauge motor connector wires transmit maximum power from the speed controller for instant wheelie or dirt-throwing action. The FLUX MLH-2200 is held down to the 6061-aluminum chassis by a twin clamp style cast aluminum mount so it won't move or shift under the immense amount of torque it can pull. It also allows you to remove the motor without effecting the gear mesh.

The FLUX ELH-6S ESC is the perfect match for the FLUX MLH-2200 motor - with up to 150 amps of power on tap, you'll be able to do any big-air trick or stunt you can dream of!

The FLUX ELH-6S can handle twin 3S LiPo batteries (that's a total of 6S LiPo power!) so it can deal with anything the MLH-2200 motor can dish out! 6.5mm bullet connectors secure the motor wires for loss-free connection to the 12-gauge wires. A large fan sits on top of the heatsink inside a protective cover to keep things cool when the weather's warm.

Motor and Battery Combinations

The FLUX brushless motors requires very powerful batteries to get the most out of them - please make sure that you use the right combination! HPI highly recommend the use of LiPo batteries above 4000mAh and 40C. Using batteries with lower ratings, or the use of lower quality LiPo batteries, may cause damage to the battery and/or speed control. Using batteries below the specified ratings may void the warranty of the speed controller and/or batteries. The term Kv refers to the number of RPMs that the motors will try to deliver per volt applied and is a standard term for brushless motor power.

The length and width of the battery tray can be adjusted to accommodate a wide array of pack sizes. Matched pairs of 2S or 3S battery packs standing on edge, or a single 4S or 6S pack are easily secured in place. The tray features an inner adjustable width restrictor and two rubber cushioning pads as well as foam protection on all 4 sides, all to help keep the packs safe and secure.

STRONG COMPOSITE CHASSIS

Contributing to the GRANITE 4X2 BOOST monster truck's unstoppable performance are a strong composite chassis; steering with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and sliding gear mesh; and rubber-shielded bearings throughout. Extended height dirt defenders limit the amount of dirt and debris that can get into the chassis tub.
