Gil Losi Jr. and his father "Pops" started Team Losi selling homemade aftermarket radio control parts and accessories at their local skatepark snack bar, turning it into a mini hobby shop. Over the next ten years they purchased the famous "Ranch Pit Shop" and dedicated over three years to develop their first race-dedicated RC vehicle: the now-iconic JRX2. The original JRX2, with its graphite chassis and 5-link suspension, pushed the boundaries of what a competitive RC racer should be and is known today as one of the most innovative cars of all time.

The 4mm thick 6061 aluminum monocoque chassis fits a huge battery box and has space for the BIGGEST brushless motors you can find for RC, and also features an adjustable motor mount. Aluminum parts are anodized in cool gunmetal and a sleek FLUX-specific clear polycarbonate body is included in the SBK kit, ready for your custom racing scheme!

RACING CHASSIS DESIGN & LAYOUT

The narrow channel chassis made from rigid 4mm 6061 aircraft aluminum and gives the HPI Baja 5B FLUX a classic desert racing buggy look and extreme stiffness and durability. The U-shaped chassis is protected at the rear with a thick plastic skid plate for extra protection to the motor and drivetrain.

The tube roll cage is made of high impact nylon and topped with a real aluminum roof to carry on the classic looks. The roll cage is fully functional and protects the motor and internals from crash damage. The roll cage, radio box, body panels, wing, undertray and gear case are all mounted with fast access clips for easy maintenance.

3-PIECE BEADLOK WHEELS & OFF-ROAD RACING TIRES

Specially constructed high-impact nylon 3-piece bead lock wheels are included, featuring NEW inset heavy-duty metal hex hub inserts for massively increased wheel durability. The contrasting beadlock ring is bolted onto the wheel with 20 screws to securely hold the tire in place. No glue is used to mount the tires, which makes changing the tires quick and easy and the wheels can be used again with brand new tires.

To allow the HPI Baja 5B buggies to go anywhere, Dirt Buster off-road tires are included that are ideally suited for off-road conditions. The Dirt Buster S Compound rear tires use a versatile square pin design that sheds mud and gives amazing grip for massive top speed runs, while the Dirt Buster rib tires provide the direction and steering necessary for pinpoint accuracy on the track. The rear tires use a special high-density racing style closed-cell inner foam which are firmer and longer-lasting than standard open-cell foam inserts. The closed cell Insert allows the tires to keep their shape and offer greater grip levels in tougher conditions.

ROCK-SOLID RELIABLE DRIVETRAIN

The legendary HPI Baja 5B Viscous Torque Control differential delivers the power to the rear wheels with smoothness and precision. The differential can be easily tuned by using differential oils of various thicknesses. The metal alloy diff case is finned for extra heat dissipation and to keep the internal gears firmly in place. The diff outdrives or cups are machined from hardened metal for reliable performance in all conditions. The internal gears are also made from hardened metal to handle 8S power, big-air jumps and huge top speeds!

The 9mm thick Super Heavy Duty Drive Shaft and matching HD drivetrain parts add a serious amount of toughness to the drivetrain, and the rubber boots keep mud and grass from the outdrives and bearings.

The one-piece Rear Hub Carrier are easier to adjust, more durable, and are a lighter weight than the original multi-piece hub carriers. They also allow toe-in adjustments of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 degrees to help match the Baja’s performance to track conditions.

Replacing the original C-clip front hex hub, the HD Front Hex Hub adds a serious amount of strength to the front suspension and dramatically improves the durability of the HPI Baja 5B.

The HPI Baja 5B FLUX features a large, tool-less, easy entry battery box capable of holding two 4S LiPo packs or one 8S LiPo pack with an easy to reach opening for connecting the battery(s) and ESC together. Note: the internal dimensions of the battery box is 200 x 84 x 47mm.

FOUR-WHEEL STEERING (4WS)

The unique AX24 4-wheel steering system gives all drivers new terrain conquering ability. Three transmitter-activated modes — no rear tire input, mirrored rear tire input, and "crab crawl" — provide the flexibility you need to maneuver over or around anything in your way.

SIDE PLATE CHASSIS

The durable side plate chassis is engineered to allow high clearance and generous articulation. Angled rock sliders also help you maneuver past rocks, roots, ledges, and other large obstacles. Driving the AX24 XC-1, you go where you want to go!

The Mini-B has been designed with a 1.5mm thick, 6061-T6 aluminum chassis plate that provides strength and durability along with rigidity that vastly improves racing performance.

THREADED OIL-FILLED SHOCKS

The injection-molded oil shocks have threaded shock collars that allow for easy preload and ride height adjustments to quickly adjust to the track after your warm up laps. The shock bodies also feature a bottom-loading, rebuildable shock cartridge with dual O-rings that help to keep the oil in the shocks. BKT are the tires that pro drivers use at Monster Jam competitions around the world, and they’ve been officially licensed for reproduction on the Mini LMT 4WD. The tires feature a Chevron tread design that provides excellent traction. The smooth sidewall transition keeps the tires from grabbing and causing rollovers.

ALUMINUM POWDER-COATED CHASSIS PLATES

The 1.5mm, powder-coated 6061-T6 aluminum chassis plates complement the monster truck’s scale looks while adding durability for racing and freestyle fun.

METAL FRONT & REAR DIFFERENTIALS

Metal differentials in front and rear allow each tire to spin at its own speed for the best handling characteristics.

METAL DRIVELINE YOKES & ALUMINUM LINKS

Anyone who loves working on full-scale cars and trucks will enjoy maintaining and upgrading the Losi Mini LMT 4WD, just as they would a real vehicle. For example, these durable metal yokes allow the driveline to be serviced and repaired easily whenever necessary. Links made from durable aluminum hang tough through hard-hitting monster truck action. They’re easy to maintain and allow easy rod end replacement.

THREADED OIL-FILLED SHOCKS

The Mini LMT 4WD’s oil-filled shocks provide superior handling during jumps and harsh landings. The shocks are threaded for easy ride height adjustments. They also allow optional tuning using different spring rates and TLR shock oil weights (available separately).

TWO-POSITION WHEELIE BAR

The Losi Mini LMT 4WD includes a wheelie bar with two fixed positions and a wide roller. Select your preferred wheelie angle and put on a show!
