POLY-ZAP is a specialty CA adhesive developed for use on today’s newer plastics.

Lexan is one of the more difficult plastics to bond, and POLY-ZAP was developed to solve that problem. POLY-ZAP also works with delrin, polycarbonate, ABS, styrene, nylon, and most acrylics. It works on may types of films and painted surfaces. Poly-Zap is perfect for today’s ARF type models. ABS cowls, canopies, lexan car bodies, fiberglass repair, model boat parts, and automotive trim are just a few of the many applications for POLY-ZAP.

Apply small drops of POLY-ZAP to one surface only then mate the parts. For large or long seams apply small drops 1/4 to 1/2 inches apart, one side only, along the entire seam, then join parts. Be careful to keep your fingers away from the glued joints until cured, this glue will bond your skin instantly to your model. To prevent fogging of clear parts do not use an accelerator. If you want to use ZIP KICKER, apply very small amounts with a fine brush or tooth pick. You do not need to apply kicker to the entire joint. When repairing fiberglass, spread POLY ZAP evenly over the entire area and let cure. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

Mr. Mark Softer is a decal softener. It can soften uneven molded surfaces, curved surfaces, and hard decals, allowing them to blend into the surface.

It can be applied over a decal that has already been applied to get the desired effect. The softening solvent will soften the decal rapidly, so be careful not to apply too much. The decal itself may melt, break when it is applied to the surface, or erode the painted surface.

This product is water-soluble. Adding water appropriately will dilute the effect of the solvent and prevent rapid softening. Depending on the painted surface and type of decal used, it may be a good idea to dilute it with water before use. After applying the decal, lightly press the decal with a lightly dampened Mr. Cotton Swab, Mr. Clean Stick 2, or a dust-free cloth to ensure that the decal adheres firmly to the surface of the part. At that time, wipe off excess Mr. Mark Softer with water to prevent it from softening too much. Using a damp cotton swab or similar will neutralize the Mark Softer and prevent it from becoming too soft with the solvent.

If air bubbles get trapped between the decal and the part (silvering), after the decal has dried, carefully poke holes in the decal with a needle or craft knife. Then, by applying Mr. Mark Softer again, the decal will soften again, the air bubbles will disappear, and the decal will adhere firmly to the surface of the part.

One way to prevent silvering is to use a glossy surface on the surface onto which the decal will be applied.

The main ingredients used in the previous product have been changed to environmentally friendly ones and the product has been redesigned.

The changes made to the product are as follows:

• Decals are now easier to soften. Silvering is less likely to occur when used on semi-gloss or matte paint instead of on gloss paint.
• It has more dissolving power for water-based hobby colors than previous products. This is particularly noticeable when the drying time is short, so please dry thoroughly and avoid applying large amounts. When using it, it is best to dilute Mark Softer with water to reduce its dissolving power before use. Although it depends on the drying time of the paint film, the amount used, and the wiping method, a dilution of about 10% is a good guideline.

QUICK SET Z-POXY is a premium two part epoxy adhesive. The 5 minute cure time means fast building and fast repairs. QUICK SET Z-POXY is handy to have at home for all types of fix-it jobs, woodworking, and furniture repair.

QUICK SET Z-POXY fully cure in approximately 5 minutes, which allows you will have about 3 minutes of working time. To clean up any uncured or unmixed epoxy, use alcohol, isopropyl or methanol, either will work. Thinning of QUICK SET Z-POXY is not recommended. Mix Z-POXY in a plastic cup or on a non porous surface such as a piece flexible plastic. Mix only enough epoxy as needed. Excess epoxy cannot be saved once mixed. Since epoxies cure by an exothermic chemical reaction (give off heat), and heat can speed the curing of epoxy, mixing large amounts can shorten the pot-life if not quickly spread. If you need a longer working time, or need to thin the epoxy, use Z-POXY 30 MINUTE FORMULA (Item #PT-39).
